# Hemel House

> Hemel House is a government-approved family day home agency in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. Founded in 1982, it connects families with licensed, monitored in-home childcare for children ages 0–12 and supports family day home educators with training, mentorship, and professional development.

Hemel House is Lethbridge's longest-operating approved family day home agency. The agency recruits, screens, trains, and monitors family day home educators who provide care in their own homes. All day homes in the Hemel House network meet or exceed Alberta Child and Family Services regulations for safety, nutrition, programming, and hygiene. Hemel House is BBB Accredited and recognized by the Alberta Association of Family Day Home Agencies. The agency has served the Lethbridge community for over 43 years.

Hemel House serves two audiences: parents seeking licensed childcare, and educators who want to operate a family day home business. For parents, the agency offers placement in monitored day homes with trained educators, access to Alberta childcare subsidies, infant care, preschool care, school-age care, drop-in care, and a Special Needs Program.
